Ground Work

Trout!  One of the most beautifully marked freshwater fish.  For most fly fisherman, this is the species that introduced us to the sport.  Watching your indicator tank!  Tic, tic, tic, SLAM!  Dry Fly High! Many methods have been applied to these fish and all pursuers have walked away from the water frustrated and beat-up at times.  They can be a fickle foe!  At times you can't do anything wrong and they continuously impale themselves upon your fly.  Other times, you can implement every available tactic, all of which have been effective on some previous outing, but for some reason the trout are dead to the influences of the angler.  Fishing Defined!  Not only are they beautiful, but their pursuit takes the angler to some exotic and remote places.  Lucky for us here in the west, exotic and remote for us may be just outside our pickups and a short/long hike away.  No doubt these fish are the Bells of the Ball when it comes to spawn attire.  Thank you Trout for laying my angling ground work!
".....ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.”
 Helaman 5:12
If it is not obvious from this post, pictures are much more valuable to myself than words.
