Jake's second cast, Boom!
Awkward timer shot.
Boom-bada-boom-boom!
Double Tap!
Leather Belly
Despite the wind, a late arrival and the carp's eagerness to propagate its species we were still able to find a few that were willing to eat, as long as we put the fly in their mouth!

The progeny of that million means we have more of a chance to either succede, or not, dpending on skill, luck, etc. Those wer some brutish fish, good anywhere carp land.

Thanks Gregg!
DeleteMan, that Boom-Bada-Boom-boom fish is a dream-fish. Are many of your lakes mirror dominant?
ReplyDeleteI agree Trevor! I would not say dominant, but I have certainly been surprised by their numbers here compared to the mid west.
DeleteI think I am right around 1.5% of the total carp I have ever caught are Mirrors. Or to put that in perspective I suspect you caught more mirrors this weekend than I have in 13 years!
DeleteCrazy Trevor! Genetics are a crazy thing. I would think after so many years mirrors would decrease, but apparently not.
DeleteThat mirror is sick! I have yet to catch one, let alone a big one like that.
ReplyDeletecheers,
